Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi met with three MPs who recently quit the Labour party.
Speaker Pelosi met with Chris Leslie and Mike Gapes, who were founding members of The Independent Group, and Ian Austin, who quit Labour but did not join TIG. Speaker Pelosi tweeted that one of the subjects they discussed was antisemitism.
For the most powerful Democrat politician to meet with ex-Labour MPs is extraordinary. It seems to me to be two-fingers to the party leadership.
